Cherries

(No, we do not use bandannas as bibs. They were playing dogs and this was their "collar".)

Please don't turn me in to DHS!

Her first choice of meds was stool softener. (Believe me, she doesn't need that!)

This is what happens when you leave a two and four year old unsupervised so you can cook.

(He's obviously oblivious that he's about to get in big trouble!)

The Watermelon Patch

Last Friday we went to the Watermelon Patch in Arcadia. We had lots of fun. There was so much to do and the kids can't wait to go back.

The Tire Swing

Water Break

Chenna was trying hard to figure it out.

The Hammock - one of Chenna's favorites.

She wasn't so sure about the goats.

Catch's favorite was being the "rabbit volunteer".

The First One

Catch lost his first tooth last week. He was so excited since he thought he was the last one in his group of friends to lose one. It was a little sad because this was the last thing he had that could tie him to being a "baby". Another way of saying "your baby is growing up."

Mistaken Identity

I read this book while in Texas and I highly recommend it. I wish I had half the faith of these two families!

The story line-

Meet Laura Van Ryn and Whitney Cerak: one buried under the wrong name, one in a coma and being cared for by the wrong family.

This shocking case of mistaken identity stunned the country and made national news. Would it destroy a family? Shatter their faith? Push two families into bitterness, resentment, and guilt?

Read this unprecedented story of two traumatized families who describe their ordeal and explore the bond sustaining and uniting them as they deal with their bizarre reversal of life lost and life found.

And join Whitney Cerak, the sole surviving student, as she comes to terms with her new identity, forever altered, yet on the brink of new beginnings.

Mistaken Identity weaves a complex tale of honesty, vulnerability, loss, hope, faith, and love in the face of one of the strangest twists of circumstances imaginable.

Watchin' Fireworks

We spent the week in Texas. My sister and I brought the boys to Six Flags on Thursday, but I'll have to share those pictures later since they were taken with my sister's camera.
